• Location: General location to show you nearby matches (you control the precision)
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting
• Usage data: How you interact with the app to improve our service

• Show you matches: Connect you with people based on your preferences
• Enable communication: Let you message your matches
• Improve the service: Understand how people use Candor so we can make it better
• Keep you safe: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms

We do not use your data to:

• Sell your personal information to data brokers or third parties
• Share your individual information with advertisers
• Manipulate your experience to increase engagement

• Other users: Your profile is visible to potential matches (that's the point)
• Service providers: Companies that help us run Candor (hosting, payment processing). They're contractually bound to protect your data.

• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect safety

We never sell your personal information. Period.

You have control over your data:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we have about you

• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data

We keep your data only as long as needed:

• Active accounts: Data retained while your account is active
• Deleted accounts: Most data deleted within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer for legal or safety reasons.
• Messages: Deleted when both users delete them or their accounts

On our website, we use:

We don't use tracking cookies to follow you around the internet or build advertising profiles.

Candor is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use our service. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we'll delete it immediately.

Candor is a service for users in the United States. If we expand to other regions in the future, we will update our policies and practices accordingly.

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the app or by email before they take effect. We won't make changes that reduce your rights without giving you a chance to review them first.
